HOW TO CLEAN WOODEN DISH BRUSHES!

This method I’m about to share has been my trusted method for the past 5 years. BUT! The KEY tending for your wooden dish brushes, requires a little bit of effort everyday you use them.
CARE AFTER EVERYDAY USE: after every wash, you should make sure your brushes bristles are free of food matter. You can do this by running hot water on the bristles & picking out any leftover food bits that may be caught.
THIS will be the most important thing you do to ensure your bristles stay free of mold.
DEEP CLEANING METHOD: once every 2-4 weeks you should submerge your brushes in 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts warm water for around 3 minutes. You can add a little dish soap if you’d like. Allow the brushes to hang dry after this cleaning process takes place. You can use them immediately after they dry.
OIL POLISHING: after doing the deep cleaning method mentioned above, you might notice the wooden handles on your brushes look dry. That’s normal. To make them look sparkling & new you can rub some coconut oil OR olive oil on the wooden areas on your brush to give them a fresh look!
If you do these 3 things, your wooden dish brushes will last you a minimum of 6 months to a year!
